Biography
Nastaran Pourtaherian is an Iranian contemporary photographer based in Montreal. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at Concordia University. Working across analog and digital processes, she explores culture, home, and immigration through family archives, fabric, and land.
Her images move between inherited photographs, material objects, and landscape to trace how personal and collective history sits in the body and in place, examining what gets carried across borders and generations, and what gets left behind.
